- Select the jigsaw puzzle you’d like to try by clicking on its thumbnail on the Puzzle Page. If you choose one of our featured puzzles, skip step 2 and continue to step 3.
- If you choose a puzzle other than one of our featured puzzles a pop-up window will appear on the screen with a larger image, a short description of the photo and two versions of the puzzle (easy or hard) for you to choose from. Choose one of the puzzles by clicking on the EASY or HARD button. A new window will appear with the wallpaper you chose. Let the image load fully. Depending on your connection speed, this may take a moment.
- Next you will probably get a warning message letting you know that that a download has been initiated and you will be asked to choose to RUN the program or SAVE the program. If you intend to e-mail the puzzle to a friend or want to save it on your computer, then choose SAVE. If you just want to play the puzzle as soon as the download finishes, then choose RUN.
- Depending on the security settings of your computer, when the download finishes, you may receive another warning message. It is safe to click RUN.
- The puzzle will open on your computer screen and cover the entire screen with the play area.
- Follow these operating instructions:
TO SELECT A PIECE
In the Play Room, you can select a piece or several pieces in more than one way.
To select one piece
1. Click the left mouse button in the piece.
To select a region
1. Point with the mouse to an empty area of the board.
2. Press the left mouse button and move the mouse.
3. Release the mouse button.
Hold down the CTRL key to add further pieces to the current selection. The selected pieces are then highlighted and can be moved as a single piece.
TO CANCEL THE SELECTION
1. Point with the mouse to an empty area of the board.
2. Click the left mouse button.
TO HANDLE A SELECTION
Lifting, moving and dropping a piece
1. Point to the piece with the mouse. Press the left mouse button to Lift the piece.
2. Move the piece by moving the mouse
3. Press the right mouse button to rotate the piece right.
4. Hold down the CTRL key and press the right mouse button to rotate the piece left.
5. Press the left mouse button a second time and this drops the piece.
Connected Pieces
When two pieces connect together, they are locked with a clicking sound. The pieces may then be moved as a single piece.
