Plan Your Visit To Charlotte, NC

People began settling into Piedmont, North Carolina, 40 years before the American Revolution. 

While there were ups and downs and dark times, too, the area has persevered and made it through everything. Today, it’s one of the best places one can visit! And at the center of that region is the largest city in North Carolina and one of our favorite places: Charlotte.

Things to Do in Charlotte, North Carolina

There are plenty of things to do in Charlotte, North Carolina, no matter your interests. If you’re a fan of art, the Blumenthal Mint Museum is a must-visit. 

For nature lovers, a walk along the Rail Trail is perfect for getting an outdoor activity done and spending a day with amazing views. 

Finally, if you’re looking for a day out on the lake with the family and just relaxing and having fun, Lake Norman is just a short drive away. There are lots of water based activities there you can take part in, and can relax by the lake too!

Places to Eat

When it comes to food in Charlotte, North Carolina, there is no shortage of amazing options. The chef-driven, focus on featuring local ingredients so everything’s always fresh and great. There are bistros, and traditional restaurants, and everything in between, so youโ€™ll always be able to find something to your taste. 

If youโ€™re looking for something unique and interesting, check out Kindred in Davidson, Bardo in the South End or Haymaker in Uptown Charlotte. These restaurants take a culinary science approach to their menu, with dishes that are both creative and delicious.

Fig Tree, in Elizabeth, and Barrington’s in SouthPark are a wonderful option if youโ€™re looking for classic southern cuisine with a modern twist. They serve up some of the best food in the city. Fig Tree uses only fresh, seasonal ingredients to create their dishes, so you can expect nothing but the best flavors here, and Barrington’s is a great bistro with a little something for everyone!

Where to Stay

Because of how unique Charlotte is, there are lots of different places you can stay in. If you’re looking for a luxurious experience, the Grand Bohemian is the perfect place to stay. This hotel offers upscale rooms and amenities, as well as prime access to the city’s best restaurants and attractions. 

If you’re looking for a more historic option, the Duke Mansion is a great choice.
