Myrtle Beach, an hour south of Wilmington NC and two hours north of Charleston, SC is one of the most frequented beaches across the state. Nearly 20 million people head to Myrtle Beach every year to enjoy its vast shorelines measuring up to 60 miles. Visit the EdVenture Myrtle Beach Children’s Museum

Want to have a fun time at the beach exploring exciting exhibits? Visit the 3000 square feet EdVenture child museum. 

The museum packs plenty of fun with its engaging exhibits, events, and programs you can explore with your kids. The museum itself works as a nonprofit educational institution where children can learn through hands-on crafts, programs, and experiences. Moreover, if your kids have a nice experience, you can also set up their next birthday party at the museum. Tickets for entry are priced at $8 for children and adults alike. 

Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park

If you want to take your kids to the beach but also want to spend some time indoors, visit the Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park, now renamed Sky Zone Park. The park is a great way to combine fun and fitness into one, and the entire family can participate. Take your time to run, jump, and dodge sweeping obstacles that make up part of its 80 feet long ninja challenge course. 

The park also has a massive trampoline jump area, a trampoline basketball court, a trampoline dodgeball court, and much more. You can get an all-day pass to the park for $29.99, or pay $21.99 for their 90-minute session. For indoor activities Myrtle Beach, this one is one of the most recommended. 

Explore the Activities along the Grand Strand

The Grand Strand is a section of the Myrtle Beach coastline known for its many activities including golf resorts, amusement parks, resorts, and other forms of entertainment. It is considered one of the most popular vacation spots across the US because of its beautiful scenery, stunning beaches, and a great selection of activities.

Besides these activities, you will also find plenty of facilities for shopping including local boutiques, outlet malls, and flea markets. And after you are done exploring, sit back and relax with some fine dining at the many bars and restaurants the area provides. 

Broadway Grand Prix Family Race Park

If you want to truly experience fun with the family, visit the Broadway Grand Prix, a stunning family race park with plenty to explore. The park features seven go-kart tracks, two 18-hole mini golf courses, bumper boats, a 20,000-square-foot arcade with over 90 arcade games, a rock climbing wall, a carousel, and plenty of other fun activities to explore. To enter the park, you will need to buy dedicated wristbands starting from $15 for toddlers. You can also purchase a one-week pass for $85 that will allow unlimited access to the park’s various activities.  Surely this is one of the fastest things to do with kids in Myrtle Beach!

Family Kingdom Amusement Park

The Family Kingdom Amusement Park is a charming seaside amusement park located in Myrtle Beach where adults and children of all ages can have fun! The amusement park features over 38 thrilling rides, including roller coasters, drop zones, jumper cars, and go-kart tracks. It also has a Picnic pavilion where you can accommodate up to 10 guests for birthday parties or family events. 

Tickets are charged at $1.15 for each ride, or you can get an all-day unlimited pass for $32.95.

Explore Huntington Beach State Park

The Huntington Beach State Park is part of a stunning 24 acres of undeveloped beachfront at Myrtle Beach. It features beautiful nature trails and boardwalks which you can explore with your family. You will love the freshwater lagoons, salt marsh, and maritime forests the park hosts. The park is also home to many big birds, which makes it a great side for wildlife hiking and birding.

Myrtle Waves Water Park

The Myrtle Waves water park is one of the five largest water parks in South Carolina and has been operative since 1985! It features over 22 slides and attractions including 12 water rides. Rides include water slides, tube slides, pool raft rides, a wave pool, and a dedicated kiddie play area. You can rent a private cabana or make your booking for a nice birthday party. Adults can also enjoy beers and snacks near the Beer Garden. 

General admission will cost you $30, and for kids under the age of 2, admissions are free!

Brookgreen Zoo

The Brookgreen Zoo is part of the Brookgreen Gardens located near Hammock Coast and Myrtle Beach. The Brookgreen Gardens are considered one of America’s premier gardens and have even been designated a National Historic Landmark. You can tour the gardens, view stunning sculptures on display, peek at the horticultural surprises you may find, or explore the Lowcountry Zoo, where you can view hundreds of native animals. You can see alligators, otters, eagles, goats, horses, bulls, and plenty of other wildlife. The gardens and the zoo, together are easily the most picturesque things to do with kids in Myrtle Beach.

The Pavilion Nostalgia Park is a miniature theme park located in downtown Myrtle Beach where you can enjoy a nice day with your family. Besides offering many fun rides, it also serves as a nostalgic piece of history for the residents. You will even find a century-old Herschell Spillman carousel still standing, a testament to its rich history. Besides this, there are many kid-friendly rides such as Tea Cups and a kiddie boat ride, an arcade, a miniature golf course, and plenty of refreshments on site.  

Go Parasailing with Aloha Watersports

Want some more things to do in North Myrtle Beach? Aloha Watersports is a waterpark located at North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. This park is the perfect destination if you want to experience some thrill and adventure near the beach while keeping it kid-friendly. Aloha Watersports is popularly known for its parasailing services which all ages can enjoy. You can also enjoy 2-person and 3-person rides to create a more memorable experience with your loved ones. 

Besides parasailing, Aloha Watersports also offers Big Island Banana Boat Rides and Jet Ski rentals for you to enjoy. 

You will also find the historic Atalaya castle preserved at the Beach, the former home to sculptress Anna Hyatt Huntington which is a must-see!

Play Mini-Golf at one of the MANY MINI-GOLF SPOTS in the Area

There are over 50 mini-golfing spots located sparsely around the beach’s vicinity. The beach experiences an average of 200 days of sunshine, making it a popular spot for golfers. This sport is also perfect for children to play. Captain Hook’s Adventure Golf, Hawaiian Rumble Mini Golf, and Mayday Golf are some of the most popular spots for mini-golf in the area you should definitely explore. 

Wild Water & Wheels Park

Wild Water and Wheels Park is one of the most exciting water parks located near Myrtle Beach. There are over 33 exciting rides to explore, including kid-friendly ones such as Wally’s lagoon, Wee Kids Water World, and the Kiddie Pool. For some more competitive fun, you can try out the race zone at the go-kart tracks or bumper boats or opt for a round of miniature golf. The park also offers plenty of food and drink options at its food court, where you can relax after exhilarating fun!

The Pavilion Park at Broadway Beach

The Pavilion Park is considered one of Myrtle Beach’s top attractions. It is located at Broadway Beach. there are two parks at Pavilion Park. One is the Fun Park and the other is the Action Park. Here there are over 20 family-friendly rides for you to enjoy with the family. Rides include a 150 feet Ferris wheel, mini tea cups, a mini train, monster trucks, a merry-go-round, a drop tower, and much more!  

Individual tickets for each ride will cost you $2, or you can pay $39.95 for an all-day ticket. It is on the most-recommended things to do in Myrtle Beach with kids.

Visit Myrtle Beach State Park

What better way to spend a nice sunny day with your kids than to take a trip to the beach? 

The Myrtle Beach State Park is located along the Myrtle Beach coastline, covering a total of 312 acres. The State Park features a picnic area, playgrounds for your kids, a fishing pier to walk out on, and the beach itself which is nice and flat to take a stroll. Admissions to the park will cost you $8 for adults and $4 for children aged 6-15.

Blackbeard’s Pirate Cruise

If you want to enjoy a day at sea, set out for Blackbeard’s Pirate Cruise at Myrtle Beach. For an hour, you and your family can enjoy a day sailing the sea, where you can even partake in a treasure hunt. This trip would also be perfect for birthdays, family events, or school programs. You can also purchase souvenirs from the pirate cruise including swords, eye patches, hats, t-shirts, and pirate necklaces at the onboard gift shop. 

Tickets for adults and kids aged 3 and above cost around $28. For kids aged 1-2, you can get them for $13.
