We recently visited the Outer Banks and Manteo and had an opportunity to explore the beautiful White Doe Inn. It is truly the perfect option if you want to enjoy the scenic beauty of the panoramic waterfront village of Manteo on Roanoke Island. Built in 1910, the popular Bed and Breakfast is the trusted choice for accommodations near the quaint coastal village. Then, on Roanoke Island, the Lost Colony and Fort Raleigh are only 5 minutes away and the NC Aquarium (a great place to go when it rains in the Outer Banks) is only 10 minutes away. Then all the amazing things to do in Manteo from the Maritime Museum to the waterfront are just a 1/4 of a mile walk. So, to say this is perfectly located, isn’t an understatement.

Jockey’s Ridge State Park
Visit the Jockey’s Ridge State Park, not but 20 minutes drive is home to the tallest sand dune system on the Atlantic coast that provides prime locations for flying kites, hand gliding and simply watching the sunset.
