A winter weekend in Pinehurst is exactly what we need. The air turns crisp, the pace slows, and the village takes on a quieter rhythm that feels made for long dinners, thoughtful pours, and unhurried conversation. It is in this setting that Whiskey Club No. 19 arrives, offering an intimate two-night gathering that celebrates whiskey, food, and the enduring hospitality of the Sandhills.

Hosted by The Local Palate in partnership with the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau, Whiskey Club No. 19 takes place January 23 to 24, 2026. The experience is designed to be immersive and personal, bringing together chefs, distillers, and guests who appreciate craftsmanship and connection as much as what is on the plate or in the glass.
The weekend begins Friday evening at Brad Halling American Whiskey Ko., where the scent of oak and the glow of barrel-lined rooms set the tone. Guests are welcomed with a guided tasting of BHAWK’s spirits, from refined premium whiskeys to a pistachio bourbon cream, paired with whiskey-inspired fare. A private tour of the distillery offers a closer look at the process behind each pour, creating an evening rooted in curiosity, storytelling, and shared discovery.

Saturday morning starts with a complimentary breakfast at Pinehurst Resort, followed by a day left intentionally open. Guests may choose to reserve a tee time, unwind with a spa treatment, or explore the village at a slower pace. That evening, the experience shifts to The Resort Clubhouse for an intimate multi-course dinner led by Pinehurst Resort Executive Chef Geoff Kenney alongside Top Chef alum Gabriel Pascuzzi. Together, they present a menu that blends Southern tradition with modern technique, complemented by curated wine and whiskey pairings and thoughtful conversation throughout the meal.
