How To Help Western NC + Hurricane Helene Emergency Information

The images out of Western NC, Eastern TN, Upstate SC, Northern GA, and Southwestern VA are scary.

And as much as I want to hop in the truck and drive to help, that is NOT what needs to happen right now. If you are thinking about this, actually do the opposite and stay at home. Give the essential and emergency workers the space and time to do what they specialize in.

Instead here’s as comprehensive of a list as I could scour and put together of how to donate both in broad and specific ways. You will also find as many informational links as I could find to help from power outage maps to where you can donate food and supplies.

If you are going to drop items off for delivery to the areas effected by Hurricane Helene please consider these items: non-perishable food and MREs, bottled water, trash bags, blankets, first aid supplies, feminine hygiene products, diapers and baby clothes, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, paper towels, bleach, shovels, brooms, gloves, coolers, propane, cook stoves, flashlights, batteries, fans, dehumidifiers, and generators.

In Concord, NC – For those delivering ground donations, our drop-off location is at the Walmart near Concord Regional Airport at 5825 Thunder Road in Concord, NC 28027. Also drop offs outside the door of the main office at Cox Mill High School at 1355 Cox Mill High School Road from 9 am to 2pm
