Another amazing trip to the Charleston SC area is in the books. And I can’t wait to share my experience with you. Every time I visit, I have a fantastic time in this charming coastal city, where there is always something to see and do. This trip was filled with a ton of fun activities, but also a lot of downtime spent at the gorgeous Post House Inn In Mount Pleasant SC. This hotel embodies relatable luxury, with tasteful inspiring design, a wonderful on-site restaurant, and amenities that will have you coming back for a second, third, and fourth visit.
Before We Get To Post House Inn, Here’s A Little About Our Trip To Mt. Pleasant
One of my favorite activities, and I tend to do it each time I travel to the area, was walking along Shem Creek. The park there affords beautiful views of the water, the marsh and Spartina grass, the Ravenel Bridge in the distance, and even a glimpse into Charleston Harbor. It’s a great place to enjoy a refreshing beer waterside and watched the boats cruise by. It is especially beautiful during sunset where the views of the water were absolutely breathtaking.
Another highlight of my trip was visiting Sullivan’s Island and exploring Fort Moultrie. The history of the area was fascinating. If you walk out to the beach you also get amazing views of the city of Charleston across the harbor
I also loved walking along the beach at Isle of Palms just 15 minutes down the road. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon soaking up the sun and enjoying the ocean.
The highlight of this trip, however, had to be the accommodations. Its a rare feat for the hotel to overshadow the rest of the trip but for this vacation, there’s no doubt the Post House Inn was the main character.

Hotel Food Never Tasted So Good
The Post House Inn restaurant and bar are also great places to unwind and refresh. The seafood served up here is absolutely divine. We enjoyed some of the local East Coast Oysters, as well as Miss Paula’s Shrimp Fritters. For snacks, the papayas bravas came highly recommended. I can highly recommend the roasted cauliflower and avocado salad for the healthier eaters, and the backbar cheeseburger for the not-so healthy :).
And don’t miss out on fun cocktails her! From Campari spritz’s to pineapple daiquiris…the Post House Inn cocktails have what I would call Bermuda-Caribbean inspired flavors! Very fun, and beach cocktails to say the least!
