The survey collects travelers’ opinions on facilities, location, service, food and overall value. On the 2022 list of the best resort hotels in the South, The Swag is accompanied by such nationally regarded locations as Blackberry Mountain in Tennessee and Old Edwards Inn & Spa in North Carolina.

Situated on 250 acres, the Swag has mile-high views. The Colquitts, who bought The Swag in 2018, spend the off-seasons adding new features to the resort. The most recent additions include a full-service onsite spa and outdoor hot tub. Also a gym, a dining terrace with sweeping views and an expanded cellar for the curated and unique wines guests enjoy at the property’s fine dining restaurant.

Presently, the 2022 season is booked. However, they are currently accepting reservations for 2023.
