This was one of our favorite things to do in Abbeville SC! Most shows at the opera house are local theater and musical performances these days. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Seeing the retro red curtains, box seats, vintage posters and grand stage in the old building is all part of the entertainment. It’s a downtown gem not to be missed. Locals will tell you the top floor is haunted, adding an extra layer of mystery to any visit.
#4 – Explore The History Of The Town from Trinity Episcopal Church To Ninety Six
At the end of Trinity Street, you find this lovely historic church dating back to 1842. After admiring the church go to the nearby Ninety Six National Historic Site, where one of the first battles of the Revolutionary War was fought. See where the battle happened, how the site was defended and explore historic cabins. This area is also popular for bird watching.
