The Hagerty Drivers Club (HDC) Cocktail Party will be held at the Barrett House, Pine Crest Inn, on Friday, May 24th, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. This event is for HDC members, who will experience a special event featuring refreshments, camaraderie, and a shared passion for classic and collector automobiles. This is the official event that will kickstart the Sandhills Motoring Expo. Note that this event is only for registered members of the Hagerty Drivers Club.
Block Party
The same day, the Pine Crest Inn will host a Friday Night Block Party from 6 PM to 9 PM. Those who missed out on the HDC Cocktail Party should make their way to Pine Crest Inn, where they will feast on specialty hors d’oeuvres, refreshing cocktails, live music, and an exotic collection of automobiles. The Pine Crest Inn is a renowned provider of luxury accommodations and has been selected as this year’s event host hotel. Throughout the week, you will find the facilities immersed in automotive excitement.
Cars & Coffee
The Cars And Coffee event is precisely what it sounds like: an event celebrating your favorite automobiles served with a side of freshly brewed coffee. The event will be held at the Moore County Airport on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, from 8 AM to 11 AM. It will feature up to 100 stunning automobiles parking behind the main airport terminal, “On the Ramp.” The NC car show event will include coffee and donuts for each vehicle. Come and have a front-view seat of the Road Rally with a backdrop of airplanes taking off for an exhilarating experience.
Road Rally
The Road Rally is a separate event that will begin at the Moore County Airport and end at the Pine Crest Inn from 8 AM to 2 PM. It will include 100 vehicles traveling across an 80-mile course through the Moore County and Sandhills area. To make the rally challenging, participants must answer questions about the local landmarks and flavors during their drive. Those with sharp focus will be leading the rally! At the finishing line, participants will feast on a delightful lunch.
Artisan Tour
The Artisan Tour and judged car show will be held on May 25th from 10 AM to 3 PM. It will be held at Starworks, a renowned artist collective and public glass studio located an hour’s drive from the Village Of Pinehurst. Artwork pieces crafted by over 30 international artists, ranging from glasswork and ceramics to metalworks, will be on display. Some artworks on display will also be available for purchase. The event will further feature a live hot glass art demonstration. The car show will be judged by professionals and car enthusiasts, with the best-in-show receiving a trophy from Starworks.
Hangar Soiree
The Hangar Soiree is the final event scheduled for Saturday, May 25th, at the Moore County Airport from 6 PM to 9 PM. Head to the Airport’s Main Entrance to view an exotic display of cars and airplanes and a catered dinner hosted by Elliott’s on Linden.
Concours in the Village
The final concluding event will be the Concours in the Village Pinehurst NC event held on Sunday, May 26th, at the Village of Pinehurst. The event is free of cost and open for all to attend. You will spot over 120 stunning handpicked automobiles displayed on the streets of Pinehurst Village. The official award show will bestow awards on the best vehicles on display.
